New Port Richey To Celebrate Its Centennial with a Lasting Art Installation

In honor of New Port Richey's remarkable 100-year centennial celebration, a captivating and enduring art exhibition is set to be unveiled throughout the charming historic downtown district.

"Tides of Time" - A Visual Art Experience


NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Part of this project involves installing small bronze sculptures (approximately 8in x 10in) on downtown buildings with historical significance. Each sculpture will symbolize the historical importance of the respective building.


Presented by New Port Richey Main Street, Inc and the City of New Port Richey, this extraordinary collection of bronze sculptures will stand as a testament to the rich heritage and cultural significance of the community. Each meticulously crafted display not only serves as a work of art but also as a portal to the past, offering visitors a unique opportunity to delve into the history and stories behind the most iconic buildings and landmarks they represent.

The selected buildings and landmarks include: The Hacienda Hotel, First Bank of New Port Richey (current home to McPherson and Thomas, PA), Chasco Inn (current home to Gone Juicing Cafe, Herschel’s Scratch Kitchen, and Our Little Sanctuary), Burnett Arcade (current home to Maharajh Acupuncture & Herb Shoppe and Antique Center on Main Street), Public Works Administration Triplex (current home to The Florida Room, Dang Good on Made, and Ordinance One/The Daily Vibe Coffee Co.), New Port Richey Land Company (former home to Pontlitz Financial Services), Pasco Building (current home to Boulevard Beef and Ale, The White Heron Tea & Gifts, and Pink Brick Boutique), Morey Bowman Building (current home to Downtown Hair Lounge, Bruce Brother’s Beanery, Mullins Music, and Lis’s Pieces Artisan Boutique), Leeston Smith Building (current home of Zen Kitchen & Bar, Sip on Grand, and Grand Salon & Suites), Richey Suncoast Theatre (formerly the Meighan Theatre), and Sims Park.
